    Tile levelling systems

Not at all thin on the ground vitrex ones (screwfix / amazon), B&Q do Diall ones and chinese copies with larger wedges available on ebay (can't vouch for them). They are fine if used correctly...

Tile cutter for 600mm floor tiles

Some good smaller wet saws can be fine - all depends on what you're dealing with - good planning and taking your time is the key. As well as the angle grinder I use my little old plasplugs for allsorts not using the guide or other workarounds for bigger tiles. Course you should be able to hire a...

    Trimming down door help!

Well you're definitely a glass half full person ("or there will be a large gap under the door")! The flooring doesn't look that well finished either (sorry ). I think you'd be better replacing and getting your partner to pay for it, certainly wouldn't let him/her loose with a circular saw...

So I...

    Friggin Modern Light Fittings

Hmmmm glad its just not me then - I mean the feckers that "zone" everything and treat even sparks with 30+ yrs experience like morons are these the same people that sanction zoned lightfittings that when the householder comes along to try and change a bulb ends up snapping the bloody connector...

    Friggin Modern Light Fittings

Just fitted a light - one of them 3 way spotlight jobbies - what a barsteward!!!??? Just getting the halogen bulbs in takes forever and nearly scraps the fitting; at least they give you a rubber sucker thing thats next to useless. I'll give it one bulb change by me and the bloody thing will be...
