    Vaulted Room Heating

most systems are fine when pressurised, a very old boiler without overheat thermostat should not be pressurised.. your garage should be fine if you have insulated it reasonably, as for boiler, if its 24kw or more i am sure it can cope with another 5kw over your existing 19 kw/rads, if in doubt...

    Flush identification please help!!

THEY ARE A MASSIVE PROBLEM, they waste huge amounts of water, they are fallible as they rely on a washer seal that IS gonna perish, they also get stuck in the up position sometimes for days, wasting 1000s of litres of water.... not to mention all the van miles and wasted plastic, customers...

    Flush identification please help!!

if you go right back to the cast iron high level siphonic flushes, there was nothing that could go wrong!! no perishable parts, they are still working 100 years later, all be it with 15 litres of water and a lot of noise!!, ..But having said that, our modern flush (I wish people would stop...

    Vaulted Room Heating

oh, and any boiler will do, as long as you have the extra kw needed, (about 2-3 i would guess), unless you have a big house and a 15kw boiler youll no doubt be fine, most boilers are criminally over sized, i never understand why average houses have 24 kw boilers (non combi), most rads are 1kw...

    Vaulted Room Heating

nirish you clearly know your stuff, I also agree with both comments, underfloor heating is different to rads in that 19deg actually feels like 20 or 21 because of the radiant heat from entire floor (think bonfire night, cold temp but fire makes it feel warm), in this respect your right to think...

Radiators slow to heat after drain and refil of systme

'undo'... if the radiator isnt too big why not tighten both valves, undo bleed screw and wait till it stops letting out water (10 secs or so), then you know its isolated and you can undo (crack lol) the nuts ON THE RADIATOR SIDE a bit till they dribble, catch the water in a shallow tray, when...

    Flush identification please help!!

found a few "218" hits with better pics and yes its definately that one, annoyingly it comes in 2 sizes, so will have to do an extra trip. thanks again, trying to invent a push button siphonic flush, one that cant leak into WC, non siphonic modern washer reliant flushes are a massive problem!!

WC. Dual Flush. Leaking into bowl

no so fast 'thanks' liker!! it probably is, BUT, it could be that your float/filling valve is dripping , it could also be the joint between the flushing valve and the cistern, (there are no siphons in these WCs, siphons are the handle type that dont have these problems!! we are going...
