    Chimney saturation leakage

In an ideal world, yes they do. But I'm trying to find a way of not spending about 4k and in doing so knocking down another 3k of work.... House is 1930s. No lead trays in any stacks for miles around here (except a few new builds) so hoping their is another way.

    Chimney saturation leakage

Hi all, For 3 years I've been battling a damp issue in the chimney breast area of an upstairs bedroom. If I could turn the clocks back I'd have knocked the stacks down and built new ones as so far I've probably spent around £3k and still not having success. It's an external stack that...

    Wooden shed condensation

Floor doesn't look visibly damp but I had plastic bags of compost and coal directly on the floor and on lifting them it was drenched underneath / woodlice crawling around... So they are now raised on a pallet in the shed to keep ventilation there...

    Wooden shed condensation

Thanks both... Shed was moved as built by 6 guys, straps running underneath the shed at the front, middle and back, held at each end... Since its move I've had the old felt off, inspected the roof (no damage) and refelted with heavy duty felt. On to the DPC, I'm surprised landscape...

    Wooden shed condensation

    Light Fitting

Ah! The 2 brackets completely confused me. I thought they somehow worked together. Thanks for your advice.

    Light Fitting

Thanks for the reply. So are you saying you use one bracket or the other, not both??

    Light Fitting

Hi, Normally find all my DIY answers on here, but stuck on this one so hopefully someone can help. I'm trying to install a B&Q "chandelier" that I removed from my old house. I believe I kept all the fittings, but have no clue how to attach it to the ceiling. Brackets: And rose...
