That’s strange. The steps you did are usually enough. There’s probably a big chunk of meat or something stuck in there for the smell to persist this long. Perhaps you should open the drain and check the inside.

Quite a lot of surprising insight on this thread, lol. I also prefer to do things myself and my husband just lets me. The secret to succeeding in DIY is knowing where your limits are, and have the humility to ask for help when necessary (like lifting heavy stuff).

Thanks for the heads up! I have always been wary about ordering online but it seems some of these scammers have become sophisticated enough to appear legitimate.

80 lamps? Ouch! That would really hurt, but as some here have suggested, do away with those you won’t be needing much or not at all. Just concentrate on all wirings and connections because you might be getting all 80 eventually but your early wiring adjustments would then need to be replaced.

Pick up 1 MR16 6-9watt LED downlight for testing ..and test in each fitting, old transformer fittings will work 100%, later switchmode transformers. Need a minimum load 20watts + to operate, if use low power LED downlight they may flicker, so good idea to get 1 test LED Light 1st.
