    Quinetic Switch pairing with App

So after trying everything I bought a new receiver. Wired in, paired up and working within 30secs. Turns out the Quinetic products are not indestructible after all! Shame I didn't keep the receipt for the warranty:rolleyes:

    Quinetic Switch pairing with App

No such thing as a dumb question in this case! However, yes pressed the button after pairing. Pressed the button before pairing. Pressed it for 1 second, 5 seconds, 10 seconds and every combination in between  It was so simple when i first installed it. I cant believe how much effort Ive...

    Quinetic Switch pairing with App

Hi. Any Quinetic Switch experts on here? I have a Quinetic dimmer receiver (QURWM1) controlling my outside lights. Its linked to the 'Kinetic Switch' app and had been working fine for past 2 years. The app lost connection with the receiver and I tried everything to re-pair it but no joy. In...

    New Build Ceiling Sloping

I’m not sure 12mm drop over 1m classes as slight but judging by the replies on here it may be a case of more hassle than it’s worth to fix. Appreciate all the responses as ever

    New Build Ceiling Sloping

Yes that’s my plan tbh. Reboard level and skim and job done. Shouldn’t be a huge fix (he says!)

    New Build Ceiling Sloping

I don't think you are being facetious and appreciate the reply It’s more than just an ‘out building’. It’s a self contained fully functioning garden room with all the bells and whistles. The contract states “internal room height 2.2m”. No mention of having/not having a slope to the ceiling...

    New Build Ceiling Sloping

I didn’t specify anything but I would assume a ceiling under a flat roof would be level. Yes I know the flat roof has a slight slope to it but surely not the ceiling?

    New Build Ceiling Sloping

It’s bizarre. The finish on the rest of the building is to such a high standard as well. I can’t work out if they genuinely didn’t notice the error or hoped I wouldn’t spot it. I can’t unsee it now. I spent ages trying to level the TV... nearly went to buy my spirit level a new bubble :)

    New Build Ceiling Sloping

It’s a garden room and that’s a very useful reply. Thanks very much for posting

    New Build Ceiling Sloping

I’ve had a new wooden framed building (6m x 4m) built and now I am starting to put items on the wall it’s apparent the ceiling is sloping. Height difference from floor to ceiling across the 4m width of the room is ~5cm. It’s most apparent around a small window and the TV on the wall. Is there an...

    Damn incurable damp patch!

We moved into a house a couple of years back. It’s fair to say it was a 'doer upper' suffering from a few years of neglect. In an upstairs back bedroom is a damp patch on a wall that appeared whenever it rained with water running down the wall from underneath coving (the room is under a flat...

Determined to fix my damp problem under new flat roof

You're not the first person to say that! Don't know now why I just didn't asked the roofers to lose it when we had the flat roof done. Thanks for replying

Determined to fix my damp problem under new flat roof

Actually (thinking on the go here!) ... I will probably screw down in a couple of places rather than batton/clamp to ensure a nice big overhang onto the roof and keeping the drips well away from the wall.

Determined to fix my damp problem under new flat roof

I had new EPDM roof installed last year. Since installation we have had some issues with damp on walls under part of the roof. I have had roofer back and been on roof with him but we can not find any fault with installation. My thoughts have now turned to the parapet wall (urgh) which is...

    Aluminium parapet wall capping (coping)

Couldnt find any answers under a search so to keep this quick and easy....Anybody used Aluminium coping? Easy enough for a diy-er? I have a parapet wall surrounding a flat roof which I am fairly certain is contributing to damp issues. Wall currently is double height standard brick with no...

Trench digging ... should I give it a go myself?

Its the reinstatement of the surface that probably lends me most to just paying up and being done with it. Though I do like the idea of getting sloshed above

Trench digging ... should I give it a go myself?

Need 4m of 100mm pipe installed under a block paved drive. Linking an exisiting soil pipe to an exisiting inspection chamber. Been quoted between 1200 and 1500 for the work but as a fairly competent DIY-er I cant help but think this is a job I could manage myself. Any opinions? Time is always an...
