    Outside Tap Replacement

I can isolate under the sink thats where the value is I spoke about earlier, I just cant get access directly where the pipe comes through the wall. Thanks for the info so options are... 1. like for like replacement with the short outside plastic pipe as it is now. (DIY way) 2. swap the short...

    Outside Tap Replacement

Yeah thats the part I am trying to aviod if doing this myself. If that is the best way I will need to get a plumber in, remove the dishwasher, bring that copper in, joint and bend as it comes in to teh house. I was hoping there was a connection like on the end of that part you have shown, that...

    Outside Tap Replacement

What is it I need to attached to the plastic pipe as it comes out the wall? I would like to basically have a connection there and then fit a tap to that doing away with plastic pipe outside, if that makes sense

    Outside Tap Replacement

I can replace bits of plastic pipe outside, but thats not really a great permanent fix, just like for like replacement. Anything inside I'll need to get someone in as the copper pipe will need a bend and joint after it comes form the outside in behind the dishwasher.

    Outside Tap Replacement

Nothing leaking...there seems to be PTFE tape on most joins similar to that, the day may come when we have to look at re doing under the sink but not at that stage yet. If the best soloution is to replace with copper from after the value in the sketch, I will have to get someone in and get the...

    Outside Tap Replacement

Thats the only value I can see, there are others values beyond that, I have a 4-1 tap so under the sink is like a maze in all honesty Its sounds as if this is not a simple DIY job of new connector onto the plastic pipe at the wall and tap fitted...I'll look to get in a plumber I trust that did...

    Outside Tap Replacement

The crack is on the small plastic pipe that can been seen in the photo outside. I can isolate at that value under the sink, I just cant access beyond the dashed lines in the sketch, hence not really wanting to change the set up inside.

    Outside Tap Replacement

Hey I had these taps put on summer 21 as part of a kitchen refit, there was a shortage apparently of taps, pipes, joints cant recall what he said and this is what I got, tbh with some of the issues I think it was the fitter taking rubbish...anyway one tap is hot one cold. Behind the wall is...

    Garage fridge freezer

Maybe the reason why a stand alone freezer has worked for me over the many years, it had its own motor. I maybe didnt notice the fridge wasnt working over the winter before as it was cold enough for a fridge.

    Woodwork Joins

Thanks for all the comments, Question on the nail holes? I have a whole house to do and the thought of making up RONSEAL HIGH PERFORMANCE WOOD FILLER WHITE, filling all the holes and then sanding is not sounding appealing at all. Is there anything else that anyone uses?

    Woodwork Joins

I had also read maybe Stixall Adhesive & Sealant or Pinkgrip. Anyone used the foam packers before?

    Woodwork Joins

There is thankfully on 2 parts like this. I was thinking maybe something like the below? I've also read expanding foam but not sure if this would prize it more away. Other thing I thought of was squeeze in some other kind of filler but not sure what, then chaulk on top...

    Woodwork Joins

Yes MDF primed. The door stops are timber. I think the walls and the fact they were plastered hasn’t helped. I didn’t think the joins were too bad. There is another couple areas around the architrave that have gaps, this was down to the old walls and the re plaster being a few mm’s over the...

    Woodwork Joins

Joiner is fitting these, I may have made this sound bad by saying gaps. The gaps are as you say the inevitable gaps between skirting and wavey walls. I am just wondering whats best to fill the join lines, just a line of Chaulk or wood filler, see attached.

    Woodwork Joins

Hi Recently had new skirting, door stops and architrave fitted. The gaps between the walls & Skirting/architrave I'll use chaulk, same as gaps between door stops and architrave etc. Question I have is what about at the corners where the skirting meets, corners at the architrave joins, and...
