Hi all, I switch on my central heating boiler to heat up the radiators. It starts normally, the gas lights and the green light comes on. However, after a short while it sounds like the water inside the boiler is 'boiling' and the boiler switches itself off. If I run the hot tap shortly...

Thanks for the reply Pete. It's a sabre boiler... I can't find any information about it or any spares online. I didn't know whether the tap was a standard part and whether I'm just too dumb to know what it's called! R

The cold water supply into my combi-boiler (the one that turns into hot water later) has a valve on it. The plastic tap that fits onto the valve has rounded off. It looks to me like the splines are similar to the top of a sink tap, but one of these taps will not fit in the small space...
