    Thanks i will do so do you reckon it would be a good idea to glue some of the parquet blocks into a brick pattern plank say say 3-4 blocks wide then install it like a hardwood plank floor

    Hi try 20mm or 25mm polystyrene, can get this from wicks its great insulation and as long as the peaks and troughs are not more than 25mm , you can bang the poly onto a trowle or ridge mark and it will squash over it

    HI THERE The best way is to mark up on the reverse and cut from that side this applies both to hand sawing it and ripping it with a power saw also you can mark up the melamine side with masking tape that can improve the finish aswell
