    Floor tile removal

Just a quick update.. the floor tiles and ply have now been removed. I finally settled on using a thin stone cutting disc in a grinder to get through the grout, adhesive and ply and then hammer, bolster and elbow grease to get the tiles up. Some came up with most of the ply and in one piece...

    baxi duo tec 40he flushing?

Thanks PullerGas I see what you mean now !! Is there a preferred method of adding system cleaner and inhibitor to a system or is it just a case of following the manufacturers instructions? I am really concerned about the possibility of washing loads of s**t into the combi, especially as...

    baxi duo tec 40he flushing?

Not sure what you mean 'why would that matter'..do you mean that the rad is 'small and single' or that 'the combi is 7 years old'? If you mean the rad, I was just glad that not much water would drain out compared to a large double rad.:) You said 'If the Combi is not old' , I was just saying how...

    Floor tile removal

Thanks nortonj , ree I'm gonna leave the ply in situ as I'm sure I would't lift it without a real fight! I see what you mean about the final floor level as at the moment there is a step from the bathroom to the hall, about 12mm, so with a backing board that would then be over...

    Floor tile removal

Hi ree, The ply was glued n screwed before the tiles were fitted so might prove to be a bit of a nightmare. I have researched quite a few of the threads on here but nothing was relevant. Basically I was wondering (hoping really!!) if there was some kind of 'product/chemical' that tilers use to...

    baxi duo tec 40he flushing?

Hi, I am in the process of fitting a new bathroom, swapping the existing rad for a towel heater and add a couple of small rads elsewhere in the house and thought that i would drain and flush the system while I'm at it. Unfortunately the plumber neglected to put a drain valve anywhere? Is there a...

    spotlight woes..

no, nothing has been done or touched for about two years, it just went all wrong when the led( 3rd in the series) started to flicker and then the mcb tripped, once switched back on, the fitting that was flickering was out and also the last three in the link, if that makes any sense. cheers nat

Hi thanks bubachuba for the quick reply. Hi, Eight years ago we had a full rewire as part of our extension and in the kitchen we opted for six, two rows of three, recessed 240v gu10 spotlights. from the offset we seemed to get through a lot of halogen lamps and a couple of years back i decided to replace the lights with some better...
