    Notches over holes?

Why have isolation valves under the floor, out of interest?

    Decking in conservation area

Good news, so there are no additional restrictions other than the 300mm height and 50% rule? I know it’s been mentioned before but is ground level only measured from the highest point?

    Decking in conservation area

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I’m planning a 5x7m deck in the rear corner of the garden. The front will be close to 300mm high, rising to 550mm at the rear. It will be against an evergreen 8ft hedge on one side and approx 20m from the other boundary. I not found any info on the...

The company that keeps on giving

I ordered all my skirting/architrave/picture rails from them and yes their communication is dire. The biggest issue I think is that they state a delivery time of something like 2-3weeks so people start to email and phone them and get fobed off with excuses. When the orders did arrive...

    Secure shed for driveway

I've got one of these, the windows do make it dark but fine just for storage. https://www.purewelltimber.co.uk/collections/apex-sheds/products/security-shed

    Roll top bath fitting?

If the taps are freestanding then I would recommend screwing the bath feet to the floor, is that an option? No way gripfill will hold.

    Run pipes under floor?

Would have been better to run them above the dpm as well. Do you mean just gas supply or heating?

    Unreachable condensate pipe

There is a soil stack within 4m but it terminates below loft height, could I route the condensate internally in the loft, exit then angle into the soil pipe below the AAV?

    Unreachable condensate pipe

Is that like the CondenseSure that Worcester Bosch offer?

    Unreachable condensate pipe

AKA loft heater! Something else to add to my job list.

    Unreachable condensate pipe

Yes all done, think it's 13mm.

    Unreachable condensate pipe

Definitely lack of thought or blase about the weather risks. Annoying never the less especially as we didn't pick the cheapest quote. Photo taking during installation.

    Unreachable condensate pipe

I'm in the same boat. The condensate pipe has frozen at the top and the wall is so icey that a ladder isn't safe to climb. Install is five months old...

    First fix and UFH

Many thanks for the info, so I definitely put the cart before the horse and made things more difficult, however, most of the pipes have been run without too much head scratching. The build was otherwise going really well so I was more annoyed that I messed up.

Waste pipes under block & beam (ground) floor?

Our builder used 110mm straight runs to the inspection chamber from the sink in the kitchen island. Seems fine to me!

    First fix and UFH

No ufh under walls. Bathroom and shower room are separate zones designed by ambiente.

    First fix and UFH

Because the stud walls are built off the floor.

    First fix and UFH

Difficult to get pipes in the right place without walls though?

    First fix and UFH

Apologies if this has been covered before. Have I made extra work for the plumbers by fitting the first floor ufh (Ambiente ambiplate) before the first fix? The joist depth is 200mm, I've insulated under the plates with 75mm rockwool. The builder also layed the floor and fitted the stud walls...
