Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I’m planning a 5x7m deck in the rear corner of the garden. The front will be close to 300mm high, rising to 550mm at the rear. It will be against an evergreen 8ft hedge on one side and approx 20m from the other boundary.

I not found any info on the planning portal about decking in a conservation area. Would it be sensible to put in for pre planning or is it classed as PD?
    TIA

PD rights exist within conservation areas, unless they have been removed previously.

Good news, so there are no additional restrictions other than the 300mm height and 50% rule? I know it’s been mentioned before but is ground level only measured from the highest point?

Ground level is measured from the highest point of contact with the structure, so you're OK.

Unless you have a planning enforcement officer who dosent know what he's talking about (see my thread)
My decking is well under the 300mm at the highest point but goes to 1600mm at the front IMG-20191021-WA0015.jpg
