Hi all,
We're just finishing renovating our bathroom and the last thing to be done is fitting a glass shower panel. However, it's been one guy doing the whole job and he assured me he could tile well, and to be honest it's not a bad job at all.
However, it's a wet room we've installed and there...
Well when we stopped getting hot water I put a meter across it and everything appeared to be fine. And it was working again yesterday after the SSE guy replaced the switching thing. However, it should be on at the moment and there doesn't seem to be any movement on the meter. Perhaps just an...
We have a hot water cylinder with two immersion heater, one standard, one booster. We are with SSE on the Total Heating Total Control system which switchers the main immersion heater on at various times during the day. We had a power cut last Friday and since then the water has been cold and...
Just had a thought. Does a new expansion vessel need to be pumped up? Or does it come at the right pressure? If it needs to be pumped up, to what pressure?
Hi Bob, thanks. As as said above, there is a small leak at the PRV. Not through the pipe, but actually where it is mounted. It is only a very small leave. Do you think it could be responsible for the pressure loss?
Bob, I just had a new expansion vessel fitted. Doesn’t seem to be leaking anything. This was the first thing the plumber thought was responsible for the pressure loss so replaced it.
The TMV has nothing to do with system pressure.
Is the PRV discharging water?
There is a very slight leak on the PRV itself. It’s not discharging any water out the pipe, but is leaking a bit. The plumber didn’t think it was leaking enough to cause the drop in pressure.
I have a Grant Vortex 26, and it is losing pressure. It can be at 1 bar in the evening, and be down to 0.3 bar in the morning. When the heating is on, it holds pressure, but as soon as you turn on hot water somewhere in the house the pressure drops. I thought the two systems were separate, but...
Yes, it seems the bottom tiles should have the channel running the whole length, but they don't. Any suggestions in how to sort the problem? (preferably without having to replace all the tiles, because as far as I can see, these tiles are no longer available)
We moved into a property 6 months ago, and shortly thereafter I noticed a lot of water coming down the facia the whole way round the house. The house is about 25 years old and had redland tiles with a lowered interlocking part (watergate?), but the interlocking part doesn't run the whole length...
