Balls! Ok. Out of interest what would happen to it if I introduced both hot and cold mains pressure (instead of just the cold at mains and hot from gravity as it currently gets)?

I'm due to have an un vented hot water cylinder installed but have a power shower already. Will the extra pressure blow up my shower? What if I just turn the dial to the lowest setting will it be ok then?

Thanks Daniel. We tried a 2 bar pump which didn't work... Manufacturers since told me the taps need min 3 bar, so airing on the side of getting a unvented tank if it works?!?

So referring back to the original question will a unvented tank do the job?

i need to get a guage to measure it, but based on the fact that when the mixer is 100% on cold the the flow rate is OK on the new tap

i added the pump to the hot water feed only. my current setup is a gravity fed hot water and cold straight off the mains

apparently my new bath mixer tap requires 3-5 bar to work. i fitted it and the cold flows ok(ish), as soon as i even slightly turn to open the hot value the flow is reduced to a dribble, i assume the cold it being sucked back up and the hot pressure is poor? I therefore added a 2 bar shower pump...

Hi, just had a new bathroom fitted, and to my annoyance, the waterfall style faucet dribbles out the hot water, only when the cold tap is fully open does it work. My plumber then installed a 2 bar pump, but it still didn't flow properly and dribbled out. The manufacturer says i need 3 - 5 bar...
