    Trellis on top of wall

No posts, just fastened to top of the wall.cant cut just the middle piece as it then becomes wider than the other two pieces. I was thinking find the angle of the wall slope, two hacksaw blades fastened together then flip this vertical and cut the three pieces at that angle?.

    Trellis on top of wall

Trellis is secured by brackets to the top of the wall, the wall has a stepped up part approximately 12 at a 45 degree slope,I’m guessing around a 45 degree slope, how do you calculate the angles that the trellis needs cutting at so it maintains the same width across the full length of the wall

Fit Socket off boiler switched fused spur for cctv cameras

It’s definitely 2.5mm cable and there’s nothing else on this cable accept the fused unit to the combination boiler, reading contradicting posts on wether this work needs to be signed off by a spark, As you said it would be straight off the supply side to two double sockets with a maximum of 2...

Fit Socket off boiler switched fused spur for cctv cameras

Sorry for not replying yesterday got caught up with something else. Looks like the boiler fused spur is the only thing the cable runs to,it’s on the RCD side of the dis board with a 20’amp breaker.Still not sure it’s 2.5mm though. There is a 3amp fuse fitted, remove and replace with 13amp fuse...

Fit Socket off boiler switched fused spur for cctv cameras

The switched fused spur was originally for the immersion heater,so I’m assuming it’s a radial circuit, cable running to it appears to be 1.5mm t&e.This is now running the combi boiler as well as the receiver box for the wireless stat Proposing to add a socket at the side of it with a four way...

Strange issue with pressure climbing when boiler is off, then climbs past 3bar and vents when heating on,suspected the expansion vessel so tested and all seems ok pressure was a little high so adjusted back to 0.75 bar.No water inside it at all.Removed filling loop and no valves passing when...

John Removing the new unit did return the original light to working ok.Put it on a short cable and lit up bright then dimmed but would not go off. Returned and a new one put up all ok at the moment. Two faulty ones in a short space of time can't be testing them too well. Thanks again for responding.

    Outdoor LED lights

Thanks John it started with a screwfix one that was faulty when put up,which was also set off by boiler flue.Hence fitting the light on its own and a PIR on front corner of house. This was around three weeks ago,and has been OK up until a second one was fitted on rear of house Saturday.Walk...

right have run the cable to a second light with PIR round the back. After working ok for a day the one from the standalone PIR is flashing all the time and the one with the built in PIR is on constantly. The 10watt wired to the standalone PIR was fine up until I added the second light.
