Yes.Thinking about it all three must be live at the switch at one point

Was post 8 sparkwright, which mentions there should never be a case where all three are live.Yes.

ThanksI have just noticed the picture in post number three so I think you might have wired the new switch incorrectly but I will leave what I wrote above as it will still apply when wired properly.
What is the problem, then?I’ve wired the new one as yellow to common, permanent live to L1 and switched live to L2 as per Sunray diagram, both switches turn the lights on and off from either end.
It doesn't.Not sure how else I can wire it,as mentioned it shouldn’t matter which way round L1 and L2 are.

ThanksWhat is the problem, then?
It doesn't.
CORRECTION - there would be cases where all three terminals of a two way switch would be live. Didn't think it through. Was post 8 sparkwright, which mentions there should never be a case where all three are live.
There should never be a case where all three terminals are live at the same time, so I suspect the neon light wires are in the wrong terminals.

No worries mate I wasn’t having a dig at you, really appreciate the advice you have given.CORRECTION - there would be cases where all three terminals of a two way switch would be live. Didn't think it through.
