2 way light switch

I'm trying to replace my living room 2way light switch, it controls the room & the hall lights, the one that is on there now has 6 terminals marked L1, L2 & common but the new one is marked 1 way, 2 way & common.
Can anyone help please?.

For L1 and L2 read 1 and 2 way. The sticky "for reference" topic at the top of this forum has some good information on two way wiring, including diagrams. Good luck.
