Could someone help me out here, l have just bought a Triple 2 way switch for my hallway as the other is faulty and needs replacing. The functions are as follow one switch on the unit operates the downstairs light on/off, the other switch operates the upstairs on/off light and the other switch does the outside light.

The wiring to the old switch is as follows:
1 way 2way com 1 way 2way
A A B C C
yellow red blue

red black red red
A B B C
com 1way 2way com

red wire is linked from from com A TO COM B TO COM C...

So how do l wire the new switch as it does not say 1 way 2 way or com
this is how it looks

L L1 L2 L

L1 L2 L L1 L2

so how do l wire up the wire from the old to the new switch.. Thanks for any help given.

Look at the switches as three separate devices.

In the old one the switch is laid out like this

A A

A

That is the first switch

The next triangle (marked B) is the next switch and the same for the third switch.

The new switch is the same but they have not demarked the three separate switches so the first switch is

L

L1 L2

It is the other way up to the original switch.

So, to transpose your wiring put the wire that is at the bottom of the triangle of A on the old switch into the L at the top of the triangle of the new switch.

So on the new switch the L terminal is the "COM" and the L1 and L2 are the One way and two way terminals respectively.

Simples!
