Thanks all for your comments, I have spoken to an electrician who has confirmed that I do need a new circuit for 32amp supply to cooker. This will be more expensive than I thought, so going for an all gas cooker which just has electric ignition - I think I'll only need 13amp socket for that...

I am hoping to install a dual fuel range cooker that needs a 30amp connection. We have a gas Aga with electric fan at the moment which appears to be plugged into a 'normal socket' not one with an isolation switch. The fuse for the kitchen ring in the fusebox says 30amp - does that mean that is...
