Its a mid terrace and spoke to nxt door and they dont have any pipework near the wall so nothing leaking their side and the otherside of the door is just a downstairs coat/shoe cupboard.

Im no heating expert, so would not know if it needed a jacket or not? From your response i guess not. I had the boiler installed by Homeserve (probably/defo mugged me off trying to get a lil bit extra with the jacket) But its ok, i have someone coming to look atvit this week.

No i dont have intention of doing anything myself. Just dread thinking of the cost as my Home insurance dont seem to cover Trace and access from what i can see. Being without gas aint an issue luckily i have an immersion heater i can get hot water from.

To cut long story short he only searched the pipework from the meter into the house and nothing else. The wife just said she was listening and the guy said i will need to get someone in to trace the leak.

So am i liable if it is the feed to the meter then?

He didnt specify where the leak was. Just said there is a slight leak and made it safe
