    Thanks Andrew do you mind telling me why you would use either the 24v or 230v option?? Are some boilers call for heat connections only 24v or only 230v ??

    Yes andrew, plumbers ripped out old boiler and cynlinder and installed a combi. I just wanted to confirm that the call for heat connection was the 230v rt connection and not the 24v rt connection..

    Hello Tony It isn't my boiler, i supplied the circuit for it then the customer wanted me to wire this controller that he'd bought. I think he liked the thought of controlling the heating from his phone!

    i thought it would be hard to visulise, the key switch is next to the normal light switch (2gang) in one room, which does them lights. Theres a separate switch in a different room with a loop feed going to it from the (2gang) switch, it is still on the same circuit but switches separately...

    i agree rocky but getting the feed for the little room from the grid switch means pulling another cable 20 odd metres where as if it came from the fitting it'll be around 3 metres. at the end of the day its joining the same cable just not at the switch???

    from the fitting would be easier, so what about spurring down to the switch from the fitting or would you loop in and out of the fitting and then loop in and out of the switch to carry on wiring the rest of the lights?
