    Tile removal - damaged wall

I’m redoing the bathroom and started pulling off the tiles, but they’re pulling what looks like (to me…and I’m very much an amateur) the skim coat of plaster off the wall with them. I’m looking to tile the wall, I don’t have the space to build out a frame and then board it. Can I remove...

Engineered Flooring - couple of issues

I didn't clean it immediately, no. Only as and when it looked as though it was a bit mucky. It's been down about 5 weeks. When you say follow the instructions, I have looked online and it seems to suggest sanding before oiling. Is that absolutely necessary?

Engineered Flooring - couple of issues

Thanks for your reply. Does it matter about the colour of the oil? Does it come in different shades? The flooring is relatively new, so I assume I don't have to sand it down first? Also, what about the lighter spots, should I treat them with something else before oiling? There's no scratches...

Engineered Flooring - couple of issues

I laid the flooring through my flat, living room, hall and 2 bedrooms. So now there are a couple of bits on the floor where there...

Had the old back boiler behind a fireplace that I wanted removed. That was one of the first things I had done. So the boiler was in, but basically...

    Boiler to be commissioned

A guy I went to school with fit a boiler for me a couple of months ago (he’s registered, it’s not a diy job). I didn’t want it turned on as there were other things needing done in the flat first and I wasn’t gonna be living there. He’s meant to be here this morning to commission it/turn it on...

Intermittent hot water and no central heating

what does it sound like to you? I really don't want to have to get a new boiler, if it can be avoided.

Intermittent hot water and no central heating

Hi folks, I've got a Biasi Riva Compact M90E.28S (GC number 47-970-18), sometimes the hot water works fine, but very often the boiler sounds like it's kicking in (sorry I don't know the technical terms!) but when I look through the wee hole in the front you can see that it hasn't fired up. It...
