Hi folks, I've got a Biasi Riva Compact M90E.28S (GC number 47-970-18), sometimes the hot water works fine, but very often the boiler sounds like it's kicking in (sorry I don't know the technical terms!) but when I look through the wee hole in the front you can see that it hasn't fired up. It doesn't "lock out", but the wee green flashing light on the front starts rapidly flashing and the water runs cold.

Central heating isn't coming on at all.

Got a guy round, who looked at it and phoned Biasi, who advised it would probably be a new pump that's required.

This is the pump, although he said that there are two versions of this depending on the serial number of my boiler -

But it's pretty expensive there, so I've been looking online, this appears to be it, but doesn't have a "jolly valve" which has thrown me! Do you order that seperate? Or is this just not the correct part? It does say it's for my boiler.

Warmsafe also have this -

Which does have "jolly valve", but my boiler isn't listed in the ones it fits.

I'm very confused!

So, first off, does this sound like the right way to fix this problem, and secondly, is the part from Warmsafe the correct part?

Change the pump head only and it wont matter if yours has the Jolly valve or not, must say I am not convinced it is the pump though

I must say the jolly valve make boiler fixing lark jolly confusing

what does it sound like to you?

I really don't want to have to get a new boiler, if it can be avoided.
