Bury is a mostly white town around 85% and Tottington is a well off area who have always voted Tory, Greens in Bury don't get a look in, nearby Bolton does have a larger Muslim population.

Brick acid would be fine, just make sure you wash it off afterwards, the brick acid if used on the mortar would help to lighten it too.
