Poured too much concrete

Building Control visited and approved the 600mm fill. I specifically pointed out that the finished floor level of the extension would match the existing house floor level. I don’t think I’ll be ripping it out; instead, I’ll look at ways to rectify the issue.

Wouldn't chipping away at the concrete reduce the thickness that was approved?
