    Problem with MacAllister Circular Saw

    Ah, I discovered the problem. A while back, I had dropped the saw, and it had bent the base frame slightly, such that the curved guide was pushed hard against the adjustment release bolt. It couldn't move! So I managed to straighten the frame, and it now works freely. Thanks for your suggestions.

Taking your advice about left-hand thread, I tried with all my might to shift it - either way, but it was stuck completely fast.
