Thanks for the details. I fitted them myself. Its a plasterboard wall so thought those boxes were the norm. Those pics are the worse and only switches in plasterboard. All others are in solid wall with metal backboxes such as the one below. Its not as bad but sticks out like a sore thumb.

I am not sure what you mean? The waste is install on the rear wall. There are two walls, there is literally no other way to install it unless the waste is on the glass side which would be the front... Are you looking at all the images?
