hi as the title says. Is it OK to temporarily remove the earth bonding clamp off the gas pipe so I can get a neater job painting (obviously not painting where the clanp attaches) and re attach the clamp afterwards.
Thanks in advance

Hi
I've removed all the plaster on my living room chimney breast down to the brickwork and need it plastered. I've had conflicting advice on whether to use hardwall or render as a base coat? The fireplace will be possibly used with a log burner in the near future if funds allow.
What would you...
Thanks Richard
Would you lay the hearth then Wait to set then point or point it straight away once layed? Also would you reccomend a 4:1 sand cement mix for adhesive and pointing?
Sorry for all the questions I'm very new to this
Thanks
Hi
I'm going to lay some black limestone pavers for a fireplace hearth on a bed of 4:1 sand cement mix. Do I need to seal/oil the stone before laying to try and avoid marking / staining or do it once there all down and grouted?
Thanks
Hi all
I will be soon attempting to lay a limestone hearth in my living room
Should it be laid on a 4/1 mortar mix?
Also do I need to seal the tile before laying? If so what is a good product to seal the hearth with anyways once it is laid?
Thanks
Hi all
Can you fit dimmer led gu10 bulbs with just a normal on/off switch. Also are they a direct replacement for normal halogen bulbs? Would rather buy dimmable incase I want to go down the dimmer route in the future
Thanks
No there isnt any air bricks around the kitchen that has the concrete floor but there are air bricks around the rest of the house that has a suspended floor
Thanks
Thanks again
I'm going to get all the floor coverings up and see what I'm left with. Worse case it will have to be dug up and sorted. Atleast that way any possible damp problems would be resolved
Thanks for your help
