    cold everything

if it is a blockage it will be where the feed pipe joins the system not at the top. you will need to remove the pipework.

it will work, but it depends how much pressure you want. if you want good pressure use a pump. A surrey flange is what you are after :)

    desperate

Your system is pumping over, this is most liekly to be caused by a blockage. Most probably where the feed pipe from the tank meets the system. Get a plumber round asap to remove the blockage then you will be fine

    [b]Advice for a new toilet

    1. You will need to drill a 4" hole through the external wall for the waste pipe. Cut into your soil stack outside and run the new waste from the stack to the new hole. Extend the waste through the hole. The waste will probably need cutting back when fitting the toilet. Make the toilet up, there...

how to install thermostat on radiator

The wee one is your F&E tank. This is used to fill and top up your heating. You can either tie the ball valve up or turn off the supply by means of a stopcock. There maybe one in the loft otherwise the main one as it enters your home. Once this is done you can drain the system. Attach a hose to...

    Radiators hot upstairs, cool downstairs

have to agree, small diameter sytems are a nightmare sometimes. If re piping is an option run as much as you can with 22mm and the rad runs in 15mm. As a rule of thumb only pipe three rads at maximum off a single 15mm flow and return loop

there must be a point of isolation on this flexi or something just before or after. Otherwise the system would just keep filling and eventually start coming out of the safety discharge outside

    Underground Drainage

I am thinking of putting a new kitchen in. This will be in a different place to the existing one. The only problem I can foresee is the waste. There is an inspection chamber outside where the new kitchen is to be installed. I can dig a pathway to the chamber, but not sure how to connect the...

Ravenheat RSF 820/20 boiler centralheating pressure question

Seems a little high, the water expands as it gets hot thus increasing pressure. The prv on the boiler is set to 3 bar so as long as this is not opening you are fine

    non unique pipe blockage

    Shower Pump Dilemma

They are not obscenely noisey, most other people with shower pumps dont seem to mind that much. I would save some money and put a normal one in

    New radiator doesn't get hot

Have you got a bi-directional TRV. If not you might have the valve on the wrong side. This would stop the flow of water. Also take the head off the trv and double check that the pin is all the way out.

Siting of a gas boiler flue?

The flue must terminate at least 600mm away from a boundary line so if the flue is coming through the boundary it has been installed as a not to current standards boiler. You could inform corgi about the installation and they will have to move the boiler if no other flueing option is available...
