hello everyone. I am new to the forum and hope someone can help.
The pipe above the expansion tank in the loft has started continuously expelling hot water into the tank, this has resulted in a lot of mildew and condensation in the loft. Does anyone know why this is happening. Hot water is running fine, as are the radiators. the boiler is a glowworm, not sure which model, all i know is that it only has one dial on it indicating min to max on it.
p.s There is a red pump next to the cylinder with a white dial on it numbered 1 to 3. It is set to 3 at the moment and is red hot to the touch not sure if this is a clue. Thanks for listening.

Your system is pumping over, this is most liekly to be caused by a blockage. Most probably where the feed pipe from the tank meets the system.
Get a plumber round asap to remove the blockage then you will be fine

and in the mean time get that pump turned down to speed 1 (or 2 if blockage will allow).

Also boiler thermostat could be faulty if pump is red hot to touch. Turn down boiler stat & see what happens.

the thermostat on the side of the tank is about 55 degrees. many thanks for the quick reply :)
