    Premier Elite part-arm morning troubles

I'm not sure I follow secureiam. Is the guard access zone set correctly with the 'A' and 'E' attributes activated, or was the default just 'A' activated?

    Premier Elite part-arm morning troubles

Cheers secureiam, your kind offer is appreciated. I think I might have figured it out. When I checked via the keypad, the entry/exit 2 attribute 'E' on the PIR wasn't set, just 'A,' which I presume meant that the entry delay timer wasn't activated.

    Premier Elite part-arm morning troubles

Great, I'll do that for keypad. Panel was commissioned via Wintex, so I'll have to look at the PIR sensor settings at the weekend. I know it's set to guard access and not entry/exit. Perhaps it needs the two checked?

    Premier Elite part-arm morning troubles

Cheers. Version is SW V5.00.03LS1 The Guard Access PIR sensor doesn't activate when we set the entire alarm or part arm it from the keypad and then walk past it, or when we re-enter the house and de-activate the alarm from the keypad. It just triggers the alarm when we come downstairs in the...

    Premier Elite part-arm morning troubles

I do have the engineer code. Part-arm is set by entering the user code, pressing the part-arm key on the keypad, pressing 1 on the keypad and then pressing enter in that order. It's a lot simpler than it sounds in writing! The PIR is currently set to guard access as we have to walk past it when...

    Premier Elite part-arm morning troubles

We have a Texecom Premier Elite alarm which has the part-arm function set to arm the ground floor at night. The one keypad in the house is on the ground floor. At the moment, the ground floor PIR sensor which we have to walk past to access the keypad in order to disarm the part-armed alarm in...

    Screwless rj45 faceplate bafflement

Thanks RF Lighting, I thought it might be. I'll go ahead and do that.

    Screwless rj45 faceplate bafflement

There's a notch in a corner of the faceplate, but when I tried to put a screwdriver under this to prise it off then it seemed to place undue stress on the faceplate which made me think I might just snap it. I suspect that this is how it should be removed, but I didn't want to assume. Thanks...

    Screwless rj45 faceplate bafflement

Thanks Mottie, I've checked the sockets using a working cable and device. The wires to the 4 sockets themselves run together and some of them work, so the problem is almost certainly the sockets. I just need to know how to remove this faceplate?

    Screwless rj45 faceplate bafflement

This is likely a question with a ridiculously easy solution, however whatever that solution is, I don't know it. How do I remove the face plate from this screwless 4-gang rj45 socket please? I've tried levering it off using a screwdriver under one corner and it feels like the faceplate might...

    Kitchen cabinet paint problems

Thanks Lower. It is a hand made kitchen, but the doors and panels were spray painted. Is this a relatively common occurrence in your opinion?

    Kitchen cabinet paint problems

The paint on our kitchen cabinets, which are mdf with a tulip wood centre panel, has begun to come away around the centre panels as the photos show. The kitchen's only 9 months old, so firstly is this usual and secondly, what can we do to resolve theis, as it makes the cabinets look shoddy? The...

    Unstable pier and finial

Thanks oldbutnotdead, the mortar is rock solid and didn't give when I twisted a screwdriver into it. Any suggestions as to what a safe solution to resolve these two problems, so that we can fix the pier and finial back in place would be?
