    Can my Neighbour do this

Didn't really agree anything further on it as we've taken that the new wall would be the boundary now. Also it only really affects the front of the house, not the rear due to the split elevation of our rear gardens. As we both live in more or less our forever homes we shouldn't have any further...

    Can my Neighbour do this

Hi apologies for not updating the thread. Following everyone's helpful comments and then discussing it with the neighbour we came to an agreement that the wall on my side would remain at that low height. As it's still low enough to climb over and do anything on my wall if needed to. They also...

    Can my Neighbour do this

The plans I posted was the original plan given when the house was built as I've lived in it since new as part of the house purchase, up until now there's never been any modifications or changes to any structures until this new wall and driveway being built. I downloaded a plan from the gov...

    Can my Neighbour do this

Again thanks to everyone that's replied I really appreciate it. I believe the wall is being put there to mirror the other side, I'm not sure if they are putting a gate in to access their drive or something by adding columns either side of their drive. Maybe the wall is for security as then no...

    Can my Neighbour do this

    Can my Neighbour do this

Bing doesn't zoom enough and im not sure if I take a photo it will give accurate view of the whole boundary end to end. If anyone needs anymore clarity of where stuff is please ask but the latest drawings I did are pretty accurate scale wise. So if we do determine that this wall shouldn't be...

    Can my Neighbour do this

Tried to look on Streetview and Earth but due to the way the houses are the image is just blurry in between the houses and the bit I'm trying to highlight. Streetview just snaps between the right hand side of my house and then the left hand side of their house and any view of the gap is obscured...

    Can my Neighbour do this

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far, I'm not sure if my original drawings were clear enough as some people have mentioned extensions and trespassing but there isn't any cases of that. I've redone my drawings hopefully this will make it more clearer, I've done a couple of top down and...

    Can my Neighbour do this

No the houses are detached, their side of the house has a path that goes into the back garden from their side of the small fence and my retaining wall, so it's a lot wider on their side. Our houses are not side by side, mine is set more forward. Their house would start roughly in the middle of...

    Can my Neighbour do this

No not a shared drive, not sure if you can see the pic I attached but I've outlined the driveways on there, we have a small grass bit between the drives and then a small fence that goes through the middle of the grass.

    Can my Neighbour do this

Between my house wall and the proposed wall there will only be about 40/50cm gap and the wall is going to be around 5/6ft so not sure how anyone can fit into that space if they ever need to. If you take my retaining wall in red and the left hand face it to be the boundary line, it's not like...

    Can my Neighbour do this

Hi All My neighbour is currently ripping out their drive and will be extending it to cover the whole of their front of the house. They will also be building a wall around the drive which is fine. The issue is they want to join one of the walls to my wall which is on my side of the boundary...

    UPVC window not closing properly

Thanks Crank that really made me think of how it actually works. So I'd have to replace these then, no way to fix it?

    UPVC window not closing properly

Hi One of our bedroom windows isn't closing properly at the top, it's left quite a big gap around the top and sides and only the bottom section is tight to the frame. Had a look around and suggests that the hinge is knackered but not sure how as the slider moves all the way to the end when...

Isn't the vent supposed to help with smells and stuff?

    Soil pipe repair

Not sure why a plumber would charge £6k for attaching a storey length of plastic pipe onto the back of the house but hey ho, builder it is then. Also what is the urgency of this kind of repair? Can it wait a few days with no vent pipe? Are there any issues that this can cause by not having half...

    Soil pipe repair

Hi all. Went outside to see that the wind had somehow blown the top part of my plastic soil pipe off the wall. The bottom section below the pipe collar joint and the soil pipe from the bathroom are still intact and fixed to the wall, it's it's just the pipe that goes up to the roof that has...

    Conservatory Leak

No it's not normal, mine leaks from there too. I've had mine for many years though and it's falling apart so I'm gonna pull the whole thing down in the future. Yours will probably need resealing again from the outside. Speak to a specialist window/conservatory place and see what they advise.
