Advice on fitting a new front door with a shared frame

Im looking to have a UPVC or composite door fitted in the near future. The window next to it is anchored to the current frame. What's best practise here? Fitting a smaller window and install a timber separator? Thanks all.

    Roof ridge mortar mix

Seems to be a lot of differing opinions on what mix is best. eg building, sharp or plastering sand, dedicated plasticiser or fairy liquid. Anyway, taking all the info into consideration ive decided. 1 part sharp sand, 2 parts building sand, 1 part cement, proper plasticiser, dye and as little...

Thats the thing, at the moment the rcd plug is connected via armoured cable to a watrproof junction box in the shed, from that box i connected a waterproof socket. I was going to wire the above lighting circuit directly from the junction box, so its would be protected by the fuse in the...

    asbestos?

Yeah im not worried, but ive got rid of it all wearing a mask, its all abut probability, more you come into contact with the fibres the higher the probability. One fag could cause cancer but its extremely unlikely. Thanks again.

    asbestos?

Is this asbestos? it doesn't feel like wood, it resonates when hit like glass. Found it blocking chimney off where a flue liner was. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b177/dansarchive/CIMG0096.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b177/dansarchive/CIMG0097.jpg
