    Stain

Def not water damage but not sure what it is - it’s a slight yellowish colour (lining paper only put up today). Just wanted to make sure if i applied zinsser, it wouldn’t effect the lining paper or the paper to be put on top. Thanks.

    Stain

Some slight staining has come through my lining paper. If I applied some zinsser bin to the lining paper, would that stop the stain going through to the top wallpaper (once it’s up)? thanks.

    Lining paper

Sorry to bring this thread back to life but if i use easi fill (gypsum?) to fill the small gaps, when I apply the top wallpaper, would the paste not soften the easi fill, causing issues? thanks.

    Lining paper

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. The gaps are basically the same width as the markers on the tape measure so less than 1mm.

    Lining paper

Thanks again. As the gaps are very small and you can’t feel them when you rub your hand over the paper, is filling them still advisable? I’ve no previous experience of using lining paper so not sure how easily the wallpaper on top will cover these gaps.

    Lining paper

Thanks. Would standing not damage the paper?

    Lining paper

Thanks. I’ve read so many contradictory things it’s difficult to know what to do! As you say, don’t want to cut corners if the end result is rubbish!

    Lining paper

Hi, new to the forum so hopefully someone can help. recently put 1200 lining paper up, horizontally, and there are very small gaps between sheets, less than 1mm. I will be papering over the lining paper, do I need to fill in these gaps so they don’t show through? many thanks, Paul.
