hi John the Timber is outdoors no rotting or insects ...but general wear and weather damage

Hi I am looking for some advice regarding how to go about treating this timber and making it look new and last longer. I am looking at getting some oil/wax and then followed by veneer to finish off? ? any advice would be gratefully received thanks
