    Wiring indicator buzzer. Possible?

Just had a thought. The chassis is painted where I connected the negative wire. If contact has to be made as suggested, do I need to scratch the paint off on a little area to get a bare metal connection?

    Wiring indicator buzzer. Possible?

It's a strange one. I cut into the positive wire (definitely the positive, the one going to the nipple on the base of the bulb), attached the positive buzzer wire to that and then attached the negative to the chassis but got no buzz even though the bulb still flashed. So, for something else to...

    Wiring indicator buzzer. Possible?

Thanks, Harry. I understand. The buzzers were pretty loud when I tested then with 2 x 1.5v AA batteries, so hopefully they'll be louder still on the car's voltage. On the Carens, the front indicator lights are built into the wing mirrors, and I can't see how to access the wiring tbh. For an...

    Wiring indicator buzzer. Possible?

I do have two, yes. I thought I might try and wire them into the rear lights, as that seems to be the easiest access point. Does that seem logical, or is there a location I'm overlooking? Cheers

    Wiring indicator buzzer. Possible?

I will give it a go and let you know how it goes. Thank you.

    Wiring indicator buzzer. Possible?

Yes, everything else is 100% fine. It's just the clicker sound for the indicator. It's definitely much quieter than it used to be, and can't be heard under normal driving conditions, let alone with the radio on or people talking in the car.

    Wiring indicator buzzer. Possible?

Hello. I've got a 2015 diesel Kia Carens. All standard, no mods. When the engine is running, the standard indicator sound is inaudible and cannot be increased (it seems to have diminished in volume substantially over the last couple of years), so I am wondering if it's possible to wire in a...

LG F1296TDA Washing Machine leaking from ABOVE the dispenser drawer

Thanks for replying. It seems to be fixed. Apologies for the shoddy camera-work in these videos, but they do demonstrate the issue while the washer was running. I really couldn't find much amiss at all tbh. I hence think there might have been an issue with the water pressure being high and the...

LG F1296TDA Washing Machine leaking from ABOVE the dispenser drawer

Hello, As per the photos, water is somehow coming out at the top of my detergent/soap drawer. It then runs down the inside of the machine to emerge at the front left foot (as you look at the washer). Things I have checked: Water pressure too high - No Clogged holes in the roof of the drawer...

Combi boiler, CH comes on when running HW. Why?

Hello. Thanks again for the replies. Can anyone please advise exactly which replacement part constitutes the "diverter valve"? As you can see from the photos, there are apparently several different options. Or would I need to open it up first to see first-hand which precise part is causing the...

Combi boiler, CH comes on when running HW. Why?

Thank you both for replying. Is this a definite job for a plumber, or could a competent amateur tackle it, in your opinions? I replaced the diaphragm on a previous boiler, for example, have done a number of wiring jobs around the house, removed a wired thermostat from this boiler, etc. Thank you

Combi boiler, CH comes on when running HW. Why?

Hello. I have a Semia Condens combi boiler. It has started to heat the radiators when the HW is being run to fill the bath. We have used the boiler for 8+ years and never noticed this issue until the last couple of weeks. I have tried turning the controls to "summer" mode, and turning the...

LG Washer, water fills drum, pours out drawer

Hi All. Thank you so much for your replies. On taking the back off the machine, I couldn't see any small pipes. I thus took the top panel off. Lo and behold, the black hose in the photo below was completely disconnected from the Water Level Pressure Sensor Switch nozzle/spout. I duly...

LG Washer, water fills drum, pours out drawer

Hello. I've got an LG F1296TDA front loading washing machine. Bought in October 2013, no problems until today. By sheer chance, I walked in today just as the drum filled with water. Water then emerged from the drawer where the washing powder goes. Literally pouring out. If I hadn't turned the...

Minor electric shock with the power off... faulty circuit breaker?

Hello All, Just to clarify again: I never got any paperwork, and the installer never said he'd moved any lights. He didn't even label the new CU. Thanks to everyone for their help and insight. It is a real lesson learned for me in many ways, and I will be much more careful in the future.

Minor electric shock with the power off... faulty circuit breaker?

In my defence, I'm just a layman. I hired him to install the shower wiring, and that's all I thought he did. I honestly didn't know he'd done anything else, he definitely never said he'd re-routed some of the lights, and no paperwork/certification ever changed hands (again, I wasn't aware that...

Minor electric shock with the power off... faulty circuit breaker?

I switched off just the smaller "secondary" CU. Lo and behold, the shower went off (as expected), but so did 5 of the 8 upstairs lights, including the one I had been working on. So it had been live whilst I was working on it. I have written a large warning on both CUs now and labelled the 40A...

Minor electric shock with the power off... faulty circuit breaker?

Can anyone indicate what it is I should be testing when I do get the multimeter, please? Or is it more a case of turning off every switch on the main CU and then going upstairs to see if the bedroom lights are still on? Thanks
