Bi-Fold Doors - Traffic Door Dropped

We had a similar problem with our door, called the installer back and they adjusted it using an Allen key on the very top of the traffic door, yours might not do the same but worth a look.

It moves forward an hour in Spring to match BST and is an hour out all year.

Economy 7 hours wrong, how to tell time on Horstmann timeswitch?

As previously mentioned by AndyPRK I too think this is the current time (red) indicator looks to be close to 4.30pm which works with the OP’s socket going live @ 7.30pm

Economy 7 hours wrong, how to tell time on Horstmann timeswitch?

Well everyday is a school day, you were spot on @SUNRAY - it is the meter you’ve linked to, actually installed December 2012 so I guess it’s a SMETS1 type. It was a replacement for an electromechanical meter with a faulty teleswitch. It’s not so smart though as the programmed time is an hour...

Economy 7 hours wrong, how to tell time on Horstmann timeswitch?

I’ll have to look at the model number tomorrow and investigate, it wasn’t mentioned when it was fitted about 15 years ago. Certainly didn’t come with the monitor….

Economy 7 hours wrong, how to tell time on Horstmann timeswitch?

As far as I’m aware it’s not a smart meter? Why do you think it is?

Economy 7 hours wrong, how to tell time on Horstmann timeswitch?

That would have worked for me :) none of the faff setting timers to get the most saving out of off peak electricity.

Economy 7 hours wrong, how to tell time on Horstmann timeswitch?

There’s no signal as such, the meter is preprogrammed

Economy 7 hours wrong, how to tell time on Horstmann timeswitch?

Totally agree with this, we used 65% of our electricity at the lower rate and still wasn’t economical, we’ve switched over to a flat rate and it works out £260 per year cheaper than the cheapest E7 tariff available.

Economy 7 hours wrong, how to tell time on Horstmann timeswitch?

With our E7 system the the digital meter is preprogrammed for the regional E7 timings and all the time switch does is power up the heaters and immersion via a contactor. In the OP’s case I wouldn’t be surprised if the smaller consumer unit isn’t using 4 1/2 hours of electricity @ the higher rate...

Can you use Wedi/Marmox/Jackoboard instead of plasterboard?

Many thanks for the reply I'd thought the wall was cold because warm air wasn't able to warm it to the same degree as other walls in the kitchen. I really am struggling to work out what is the best solution :( I pretty much get one chance to sort this now and don't know what's best? DPC seems...

I've buried part of a water pipe under concrete - have I broken regs?

This might help, our Local Water Authority sent it to us when we were planning to change our water supply pipe earlier this year, the Inspector checked the depth of the pipe and that it was inside a sealed duct on entering the foundations.

Can you use Wedi/Marmox/Jackoboard instead of plasterboard?

Hi all, I'm looking for advice regarding using cement XPS foam core boards as an insulating wall finish. I'm currently refurbishing my kitchen (1930's bungalow with an insulated cavity wall) and after removing the units off a cold external wall, found lots of black mould presumably due to poor...
