Brickwork painting - not sure if I need to use

Repainting old exterior brickwork - see pictures. Has some algae/mould that I managed to scrape off. Noticed some moisture on bricks under paint in first picture. Not sure if I need to use a fungicidal wash ( Everbuild 404) before I seal with some 406 and paint with Weathershield. Any advice...

Thanks for the advice - good point. I also have a monument olive removing tool I bought a while ago - assuming it's better than the hacksaw

    Changing Copper Olive on TRV

Tried backing nut off half turn and re-tightening but that didn't work. Took off valve and it looks like white PTFE already used before. Is that correct? (see pictures below).

    Changing Copper Olive on TRV

Have a slight leak at the bottom of the TRV compression fitting (see picture) after removing radiator for decorating. Assume I need to replace the olive. Do I turn the bottom compression nut left or right to get to the olive? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Draining radiator -rad pipe to close to wall

Thanks to everyone for your help - managed to remove radiator not touched in 30yrs without spilling anything. Like Opps said above, I might have twisted TRV valve slightly and there is some moisture from underside I will monitor. Thanks again everyone.

Draining radiator -rad pipe to close to wall

Good news is draining radiator was easy - tricky bit was the nut of the TRV which wouldn't budge with my spanner (didn't have a stilson). Hopefully weeping is just from undone nut and not the pipe.

Draining radiator -rad pipe to close to wall

Managed to undo the nut on the TRV...will see if I have disturbed the pipe on the valve or if the weeping is from the undone nut.

Draining radiator -rad pipe to close to wall

Was thinking of taking TRV head off but wasn't sure if taking off head would disturb zero-setting (valve switched off setting) and let water into rad.

Draining radiator -rad pipe to close to wall

Update. Thanks to the versa funnel managed to drain radiator from the lockshield side (see picture). But not so successful on the TRV side - tried but nut wouldn't budge and felt copper pipe move upward which might be causing a slight weep on the pipe - didn't want that. See attached picture...

    Gaps in wooden floor

Found some pine slivers - was going to use these even though floor is a birchwood floor. Should I really get Birchwood slivers?

    Gaps in wooden floor

Used sawdust and glue for the smaller gaps. But wasn't sure about using if for bigger gaps or if there was a better way. But you are right, leaving boards with gaps is one option.
