Thanks looks like getting the air out is not going to be easy. Can you bleed the diverter / differential.

Diverter valve functions with hot water tap turned on. Differential valve opens as expected.

That is fixed but boiler refuses to fire up. On switching on the fan runs. I hear some gurgling but no ignition. Any ideas?

I have discovered that on the circuit board are a series of switches and one of those has fallen off. It will not go back on and so I need a repair to the circuit board.

Thanks I have looked at the sensor for the filter and it seems to be a black plastic device fed by two thin white wires. I have no idea how that works and have considered disconnecting it. The door lock sensor is connected to a black wire and seems to work well. It is baffling.

I recently did a thorough clean of the filter on Indesit IDVL75BR(UK). Now on switching on the machine the red filter light stays on and the machine will not run. I am fed up as I simply cannot fix it. Any ideas? I am downsizing and so reluctant to get a new one. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I have a shed roof with felt on it but would like to add some form of adhesive up under the felt between the nails using a mastic gun and nozzle. Any ideas what adhesive I can use that comes in tubes I can fit in a mastic gun?

Thanks interesting viewpoint. I know for a fact that there never was a hot water cylinder as the property was built in April/May 1991 and boiler fitted in July 1991.

All I know is I inherited the boiler and it had the programmer already there but thinking it through I have never tried demanding hot water with the HW control set to OFF. I will try it. May be the previous installer only had the HW CH programmer and no other?

We have a working boiler. It was decided to fit new water valve, new diverter valve new microswitch and servo. Fired up first time Hot water galore and hot radiators.Thanks for giving such good advice.
