What Mattress Do You Swear By?

I have returned an Emma mattress... was too soft for our liking. When we tried to return it, they said they wanted to try to send us a topper that would make it a bit firmer but we had ordered the new one already. We got an Eve mattress that we're happy with. It was a tad more expensive but much...

Replacing boiler with combi boiler, water pump still needed?

Thank you for the answers so far! Cold water pressure from the kitchen sink is perfectly fine! I'm not sure if it does 20L/min but it does have a good enough pressure. We don't use two showers at the same time because even right now one shower affects the other. We've learnt to survive with 1...

Replacing boiler with combi boiler, water pump still needed?

Hi all, I currently have a standard boiler that has been in my property since the beginning of time (or so I'm told). I'm considering replacing it because every year, during ScottishGas' routine service visit, the same "oh, it will be difficult to source parts" speech is told. One of their guys...

    Best treatment for these gates?

I'd also suggest Roxil Wood Protection Cream. Easy to apply and nice results. Check youtube on how it looks while applying and how it stays afterwards...

Silicon based sealant on new fences

Let me start just by saying that I'm in no way, shape, or form an expert or even experienced DIYer. This being said, I've had a new shed/workshop built recently and while the timber used was obviously treated, I still decided on giving it a bit more protection. I went with Roxil Wood Protection...

Getting a new shed. When to call in the electrician?

As I'm replacing a smaller shed (that is currently in a slab base) with a bigger one, I will have the whole of the new shed on bearers but 1ft of the new shed will be sitting in posts (that will be held with postcrete).

Getting a new shed. When to call in the electrician?

OK, so that means I can put up the ducts and then just call in the electrician when the workshop is up... thanks :)

Getting a new shed. When to call in the electrician?

Hi all, I'm getting a new shed in a couple of weeks. This shed will be used as an amateur DIY workshop with a couple of tools but most of them are battery operated/wireless anyway. One of the few that isn't battery operated is a wet/dry shopvac. I don't imagine more than 2 tools being in...

Help identifying these accessories for workshop shelving

I don't know if it is helpful or not but I believe these to be "G-Rack" shelving. @foxhole for bracing, I'd expect the little tongues to be at a 90 degree angle so I could fit them halfway through the "long" shelf support. That is what it looks like in the G-Rack website, tbh....

Help identifying these accessories for workshop shelving

Hi, A while back I got these garage/industrial shelves. I have been able to assemble them and use them for the last couple of years. :) However, there were some accessories/parts that were included in the box that I haven't been able to figure out what they are for!! Can someone help me in...

Evolution Rage 5s Sawdust Collection problem

I bought a Parkside Wet/Dry Vac a while back that does this (start/stop automatically) and cost something like 40 quid. It was bought already thinking about my workshop ;) I have it plugged to my Evolution mitre saw.
