Yes - in fact it's probably about half full.

    Bangin' heating

Thanks for the quick reply. The boiler thermostat is already set pretty low, but I'll try setting it a bit lower and will make sure the engineer checks it out. I did notice the radiators are very hot, so you may well have hit the nail on the head here. I guess the noise could therefore be...

    Bangin' heating

It seems noisy central heating isn’t an uncommon problem, but from reading various posts it also seems there can be a multitude of causes. I’m going to call a professional round, but I’d welcome any suggestions/advice from the experts here! Basically the central heating (open-vented, with gas...

Pipe stat: flow or return pipe?

It's in the garage. My only real concern is that everywhere seems to say it should be connected to the return pipe. Not sure why, though - surely connecting it to the flow pipe is a better option (unless you like your whole house heating up periodically throughout the night).

    Bath trouble

    3 Light connection query

Hmmm... on second thoughts, I think I'm out of my depth here. Never installed a new light before and was hoping it would be on a par with changing a light bulb! I think it's time to call a professional in... Thanks for your help though. :D

    3 Light connection query

Hi, I've been scouring the forums and read the For Reference pages, but am still a little unclear as to how to connect this 3 Light job I've just bought. The light has 1 Earth, 3 Live and 3 Neutral wires (the 3 lives were twisted together when I bought it, as were the 3 neutrals). Can...
