3 Light connection query

Hi,

I've been scouring the forums and read the For Reference pages, but am still a little unclear as to how to connect this 3 Light job I've just bought.

The light has 1 Earth, 3 Live and 3 Neutral wires (the 3 lives were twisted together when I bought it, as were the 3 neutrals).

Can I leave the 3 lives twisted together (and the 3 neutrals), and simply attach them all into the relavant connection in the existing rose? I've been reading in various places that you shouldn't have wires twisted in this fashion. Indeed, it looks as if it would be tricky to jam them into the relatively small holes on the choc block.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I doubt the light will fit over the rose, you'll most likely have to remove it, and if the wires look too big to fit in connector block, then use a bigger connecter block!

you must have 3 wires connected or your light will not work you have 2 choices

IF possible / practicable (?) change rose to a JB

put bigger choc bloc onto light fitting, run short flex from choc block to rose

Hmmm... on second thoughts, I think I'm out of my depth here. Never installed a new light before and was hoping it would be on a par with changing a light bulb! I think it's time to call a professional in...
