    Sorted!! I did a continuity test on the cabling and 2 of the cables were shorting due to the receiver back box fixing nicking the cable in the cavity!!! Even managed to disconnect the existing in built timer so that the receiver doesn’t have to override it!! Cheers guys.

    Hi guys It’s engineering cable. All cores are numbered so none of them are shorted anywhere. There is only one core in no.3. The picture is deceiving.

    Hi i am having real issues with connecting my new Hive receiver to my combi. i have a L&N link from boiler to the receiver and a cable in terminal 3 of the receiver to one of the terminals on the room stat connectors. the hive is telling the boiler to heat but no heat is coming on. any iddeas...

    Hi I am having the same trouble. If I connect in 1&3 I keep blowing the fuse in the boiler. Where do they need to be connected in my boiler please? I have been connecting them in the room stat connections. Any images would be helpful.

    Ideal Combi no pressure.

    No it’s the plastic condensate pipe. It just seems to drip all the time the CH is on. Someone else has said it may be a leak under the house as to lose pressure everyday is very excessive.

    My ideal combi 30 boiler keeps losing pressure. Every time the heating is on there is a continual drip from the condensate pipe and the following day there is no pressure. Hoping it is not a big fix. We have’s checked for leaks in the CH pipework so I don’t think it’s that. It has been mentioned...
