done a gas rate today, it took 32 seconds for 1 revolution. is this right? looked at the thermometer next to the thermostat on the wall this morning, it was 17.2 degrees c at 8 oclock(just before heating fired up)looked again at 10 oclock it was 19.5. boiler is now turned up full 88 degrees on...

hi the heating is taking about 4 hours to get to 20 degrees it used to do it within 1 hour before....cheers

hi again. just ran the hot tap on the sink for 5 mins 3/4 turn. boiler display read 80 but the water was only warm. boiler has a text display and tr2 fitted. still cant find anything on gas rate. cheers

hi fella's first answer its a combi second answer the display looks the same, how could i check the status?

the guy did run the hot water for about 5 mins and the numbers on the gas safety record are operating pressure....20mb initial analyser reading.... 9.5% final analyser reading .... 9.2% .0005 40ppm thats all the info( numbers) i have on the sheet he left me

cheers andy for the quick reply, i dont know what you mean exactly but the final combustion analyser reading is 9.2% .0005 40ppm and the service book says c02 at max 9.2... dont know what the other figures are. cheers again

hi there. ive just had my boiler serviced in november the guy said emissions are spot on but still fiddled for a while, readings where 9.5% he got it down to 9.2%... problem is : hot water does not get as hot as it did (turned up full on the boiler) also the heating is taking far...

maybe i will have to forget about using a tr2 room thermostat if they are that much trouble. i will look for an alternative..cheers :?

hi bengasman. cheers for the reply, i have just tried the tr2 again with the router turned off and its the same "a8". i think its the top control knob because it only goes wrong when this is switched from man to auto or vice versa :?:

hi. the tr2 was tested with a different wire and the results are the same a8 but very intermittent. it looks like it is the top control knob at fault, when it is switched from say manual to auto. so it looks like i could be looking for another one. :(

cheers for the replies. tr2 has been working perfectly until the last week or so. nothing has been changed. i will get the plumber to test it with a short wire....thanks again..

hi nickso. i think the problem is the tr2. everytime we adjust the temp, the boiler reads a8 call service. the thermostat isnt that old 18 months or so. not very reliable so i was looking for a different one ..cheers.

hi. we have a Worcester greenstar 30 he plus boiler with a Worcester tr2 thermostat. i am looking for an alternative to the tr2( keep getting a8 every time the tr2 is adjusted),does anyone have any idea which one i should buy? wireless is an option.....thanks for any help 8)

it sure wasn't me that fitted it, but what i do know i could have done a much tidier job. his finishing off(cement and plaster work) is shoddy as hell. he even swept all his rubbish under the floorboards

hi, just had my combi replaced with a worcester greenstar 30 he plus condensing boiler and the user guide recommends using a room thermostat (tr2), do i have to use this make/model or can i use any thermostat? installer never even mentioned any thing about it to me.......... :?recomedations...
