which room thermostat

hi, just had my combi replaced with a worcester greenstar 30 he plus condensing boiler and the user guide recommends using a room thermostat (tr2), do i have to use this make/model or can i use any thermostat? installer never even mentioned any thing about it to me.......... :confused:recomedations welcome. cheers for any advice

so, another system not conforming to building regs. Your plumber has contravined installation requirements and should be brought back as your benchmark will be affected


Personally, I would reccomend a programmable room stat that suits your system.
 
the one that fits in the greenstar is good, amd sure they have a weather compensator/anticipator built in

you mean your going ot give yourself a good taking too eh ;) twastnt it you what fitted said boiler twast it kind sir :LOL:


i honestly dont know anyone now that would dare contraven the building regs on a boiler install its simply not worth the hassle ;)
 
it sure wasn't me that fitted it, but what i do know i could have done a much tidier job. his finishing off(cement and plaster work) is shoddy as hell. he even swept all his rubbish under the floorboards
