Can anyone recommend which combi boiler to go for, it is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom property which will be a rental so I'm not looking to go for anything too expensive. I'm currently looking at the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 2000 25kw but obviously the Worcester Bosch have the aluminium heat...

    Are these wires ok?

Ok I’ve bought the plug but isn’t there suppose to be a cable grip with screws at the bottom to hold the wire in place? How does this one work it just has a removable piece but no way of putting it back in once the cable is in place?

I’m going to add a plug onto these wires for my kitchen extractor, are these ok to go straight into the plug as they are? Just asking as the wires look like they go from the bottom into these cap looking things, do I have to remove them?

    Which wall plugs?

So tapping around one hole on one side it is completely hollow all around. I think there is a gap in between the plasterboard & the concrete block which is why it’s sounding hollow. The hole on the other side tapping around that it’s partly hollow & partly solid.

    Which wall plugs?

I’m hanging a kitchen extractor back which has fallen off the wall. It’s come away from the bottom where the two screws & plugs have come clean out. Replacing socket?

Ok thanks I know you’ve already addressed this so it would be ok if I just had the wires as they are now with the short ends for them just to be together on one side in with the one screw without going the whole way to the other screw?

    Replacing socket?

It was quite tight I could only pull the socket out that much to get a look hence the poor pic. I also didn’t want to unscrew it all without having the right terminals to put on if I needed to switch electric back on.

    Replacing socket?

The only earth wire is screwed into the socket the other as you can see in the top left seems to have been cut. The earth screw on the back box doesn’t have any earth wire screwed into it.

I’m replacing an unswitched socket for a flat plate switched which I will also replace the back box to a 35mm for. I haven’t fully taken off the old one yet just unscrewed it so I can take a look at the wiring. Not the greatest pic I know but does this wiring look ok, seems to be two red & two...
