Hi In the process of replacing kitchen cabinet doors and hinges, come across hinges which has base plate with 4 screw holes, photo below, usually 2 screws fixings for base plates and 2 screws for hinges. I believe these are standard size but why 4 screw holes? Can I only use 2? Thanks

They are copper but cutting is easier and will look better. Also need to empty system if cutting pipes. What fixings can I use, wall is plaster board?

Agree, there is little movement when I press in one or two areas. How do I make sure where the joists are? To avoid pipe or cables.
