Socket not quite flush, bead of silicone or decorators caulk?

Its fully flush on parts of the socket, but has gaps on other parts of the socket so i do think there is an uneven level on the plastering, or it would have a gap all the way round if that makes sense?, it is literally 1 or 2 mm gap around maybe 2 cm of socket on the top and 2 or 3 cm on one...

    My daily heating routine

I also work from home, i have been having the house at 17.5 degrees and found that hard, i am impressed that you manage 10-12 degrees! I am watching energy usage through the roof however, i am using 6 or 7 pounds of gas a day and another 4 or 5 of electricity so this quarter will be horrific.

Should i be painting this gas piping?- exposed to elements.

Thanks, i will do - i think i was expecting copper piping not black pipe to be honest, i didnt think black pipe could be exposed like that. Unless it is copper that has gone black i have no idea how to tell. I will get up there and get it painted with some anti rust paint. Thanks again.
