Leaking 110mm Soil pipe socket seal

@Madrab didn't think about marking the grey pipe and applying the adhesive like that, was just going to try and force it in once it was all connected. Top tip, cheers !

Leaking 110mm Soil pipe socket seal

Thanks @Hugh Jaleak yeah there is a boss pipe directly beneath it which I had fun and games connecting to. Do you mean this type of flexseal coupling? Try and get one end over the socket? https://www.mp-products.co.uk/dc125-flexseal--drain-coupling-110mm---125mm-4826-p.asp Cheers

Leaking 110mm Soil pipe socket seal

Hi all, Got an old 60s/70s PVC soil stack, the pipe socket (which is partly painted pink in the photo) is Hunter branded and has an old O-ring design quite different to modern stuff. Supporting/Hanging waste pipe

Is the photo attached an ok method to use to hang a solvent weld waste pipe that runs parallel to the ceiling joists? Haven't got much room to support it from the underside due to clearance to the plasterboard. Slightly worried if the plastic pipe clips ever perish I'll end up with a leak...

Saggy ceiling joists - loft conversion

Thanks guys, I'll see if the old owner left the calcs out of interest, but seems like I might get away with strapping them to the floor joists strategically.

Saggy ceiling joists - loft conversion

Hi all, Pulled down the bathroom ceiling as part of a refurb, moved a stud wall over a bit, then realised that a couple of the ceiling joists are sagging a fair amount (maybe 1.5 inches worst case). The ceiling was artexed so probably hard to spot. The 70's built house has had a loft...
