Is the photo attached an ok method to use to hang a solvent weld waste pipe that runs parallel to the ceiling joists? Haven't got much room to support it from the underside due to clearance to the plasterboard.

Slightly worried if the plastic pipe clips ever perish I'll end up with a leak, maybe use some metal strapping/banding as well? Or am I worrying over nothing.

Cheers

1. If the clips are going to be out of direct sunlight they should last very well.
2. I wouldn't worry about providing additional support.
3. If you get the opportunity, mark the floor above to stop people drilling where the pipe runs.

If the clips are visible just crack on. You will be able to spot if they need replacing.

They won't be visible once the plasterboard ceiling goes up underneath the pipe, but they are definitely out of sunlight so should last as suggested, thanks.
