    What I don't understand is why would the lower bay develop a crack caused by repointing? The top can understand but not the lower. And should I go ahead and point the front of the upper bay without propping it Cheers Jeff

    Yeah looks the same still will check again tomorrow morning. Either a miracle or too good to be true. Did read somewhere that acid can make light mortars darker and dark lighter but worried that in a few weeks months it'll lighten back to original tone.

    Edit: usually this brick dries instantly, hence why unsure it still appearing darker.

    Thanks all for the feedback. It's a right ballake. I'll try acid see how it goes. Does anyone know a way of making the brick appear wet?, that would look well. Fyi anyone trying to point nori you need to be on it cleaning the brick. I've found doing the beds first one row at a time then...

    Hello, Pointing a nori house having a nightmare. Pointing with a red toner to match brick drying dull showing every imperfection in the brick looks ok wet. Intend to point again with a lime putty. Pics attached any help much appreciated. Jeff
